Our Story
The Six Bells is a family-run pub in the heart of Newdigate. We're here for the regulars who pop in for a locally sourced ale, the families on a Sunday, the cyclists looking for shade and a coffee, and the dog walkers warming up by the fire.
Our focus is simple: well-kept drinks, real local welcome, and a calendar of events that gives the village somewhere to come together. It is open every day from 8.30am for those that want a locally roasted coffee and cake, till 11pm for those who want something a little stronger.

Oakham Brewery
A Bells favourite and Twice Voted CAMRA Champion Golden Beer of Britain!
Surrey Hills Brewery
The flagship beer is pale in colour with a subtle hint of grapefruit and lemon in the aroma. The wonderful hop bitterness is complemented by a balanced malt flavour. The beer has a long finish, which is moderately dry.
Long Man Brewery
A light coloured golden ale with a distinctive hoppy aroma and crisp clean bitterness on the finish. Smooth light and refreshing.
Verdant
Lightbulb is sessionable, quenching and totally addictive. A lovely biscuity malt base with a hint of sweetness, all drenched in fruity and dank American hops.
Food at the Six Bells
We're not running a regular kitchen yet. Instead, we're hosting guest food vans, pop-up evenings and ticketed nights — and our own food offer is on the way.
Private Hire
Birthdays, wakes, club meets, christenings and community gatherings.
We'll help you shape the right space for your group — from a quiet corner to whole-pub hire.

Food plays a huge part in bringing our community together. We focus on simple, well priced and high-quality food made with locally sourced produce wherever possible.
Day to day, our customers can enjoy a changing selection of sausage rolls, Scotch eggs, ploughman’s lunches and sharing platters, including Mediterranean-style boards, all designed to be enjoyed alongside a good drink and good company. Just make sure you reserve a table!
Throughout the weeks we host special food events in partnership with talented local chefs, producers and independent food businesses. Some take over our kitchen, while others bring their own specialist equipment to create something unique. These events give local businesses a platform, offer our customers something new to enjoy and create relaxed occasions where people can come together to eat, drink and spend time with friends, family and neighbours.
